Rogers Drum Kit, Natural, Three Piece with Converted Kick

🚨 Read this before anything else. THE BASS DRUM IS A CONVERTED TOM. It was not built as a kick. That means hardware holes the factory did not put there, and it is the single most important thing to know about this kit. It works and it sounds good. It is not a factory three piece.

⚠️ THE FLOOR TOM HAS NO LEGS. It rides on the cymbal stand that comes with the kit. That is how it is photographed and that is how it is sold.

🚨 THERE IS NO SNARE. A three piece here means kick, rack tom, floor tom. You are supplying the snare, and any other stands, pedals and cymbals.

Shells. Natural, segmented, no wrap. Sound, with playing marks and a few small scuffs visible in the photographs.

Bearing edges. Seat a head and hold a tuning. This is the axis that decides whether a drum is worth owning and it is the one nobody can see in a picture, so we are saying it plainly.

Lugs, hoops and rods. Beavertail lugs, chrome, bright. Everything turns.

Heads. Evans, currently on it, playable. Heads are a consumable like strings and they are not graded. Fit your own.

We are not making a claim about what era these shells are from. If that matters to you, come and look, and bring somebody who knows Rogers better than we do.

Bass drum (a converted tom), one rack tom, one floor tom, and the cymbal stand that carries the floor tom. No snare. No pedals. No cymbals. No other stands. No cases.

Rogers built drums that people still chase, and the beavertail lug is one of the reasons: it holds tension properly and it looks like nothing else. Natural shells with no wrap is the finish that shows you what the drum actually is.

This is a working kit rather than a collector's set. The kick started life as a tom and somebody converted it. The floor tom lost its legs and lives on a cymbal stand. Neither of those stops it being a good sounding three piece, and both of them are why it costs what it costs.

Where it is genuinely good is the edges. They seat a head and they hold a tuning, which is the expensive thing to fix and the thing you cannot check from a photograph.

Right for a small room, a studio three piece, or anybody who wants a natural Rogers sound without paying for a complete original set. Right for somebody who already owns a snare and hardware.

Not right if you want a matched factory kit, and not right if you need it to be complete out of the box. It is not.
