Tell us what you have and what you want for it. That second part matters more than people expect, because if you give us a number we can tell you straight away whether it is realistic, and which of these is the right route.
PUT IT ON CONSIGNMENT
Usually the best money, and you do not have to be buying anything. We grade it, photograph it and sell it for you, and you get paid when it sells. How consignment works here.
TRADE IT AGAINST SOMETHING
Credit against anything on the shelf, and it is the faster route. It also solves a problem cash does not: bring yours in, and if we can get the one you are moving to in front of you, nothing has to be decided blind.
And if the number is not realistic we will tell you that too, with what it would actually take.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Model, and the serial if it has one.
- Clear photographs, including whatever is wrong with it.
- Known issues, disclosed before we inspect rather than after.
- What you are hoping to get for it.
If something does not line up once we have it in hand, we talk before anything moves.
WHAT WE TAKE
Gear for listening and gear for making music. Headphones, amplifiers, DACs, turntables and the things that play music back; microphones, interfaces, monitors, instruments, amplifiers and pedals. Same standard either way: it gets graded and described by somebody who has handled it.
WHAT WE DO NOT TAKE
Anything we cannot stand behind. Gear we have no way to test, a fault we cannot describe, or anything we suspect is counterfeit. If we cannot tell you what is wrong with it, we will not list it.
