About Sonic Temple

Jamey Warren giving a thumbs up while listening on headphones

The listening room is on the third floor of an old school building in Livingston. It is a working recording studio the rest of the week. You can book an hour in it and it costs nothing.

Bring the record you know best. Put on the thing you have been curious about for a year and find out whether you actually like it.

Sonic Temple Audio sells what makes music and what plays it back. Both sides get the same treatment: it is graded and described by somebody who has handled it.

I started at Grace Design in 1997, employee number one, making studio preamps buildable at volume. Later I ran HeadRoom in Bozeman, the company that taught a lot of America how to buy headphones. Between them that is most of my working life spent building this gear and listening to it.

There is one of me. That is why the room is by appointment, why a used unit is not listed until I have handled it, and why you will get a straight answer about it.

Come and listen
