Why it is here

The SR325 has been argued about for as long as it has existed. The machined aluminium housing makes it the quickest and most articulate headphone in the affordable part of the line, and it also pushes the upper midrange forward in a way some people find thrilling and others find tiring after an hour. The Classic revision softens that a little with the X2 driver and the lighter Signature Silver cable, but it does not change the character. Listen before you commit, and if you already know you are treble sensitive, take the Hemp instead.
How it is built

44mm X2 dynamic driver with Mylar diaphragm and copper voice coil. Precision-machined aluminium housing, Signature Silver headband with reinforced polymer gimbals and a leather headstrap, Signature Silver cable, F cushions.
What it is for

Detail listening, acoustic and jazz recordings, and anyone who wants to hear the leading edge of every note. Not the choice for long unbroken sessions if bright treble bothers you.
