Why it is here

The Master4 moves the Sonata4's nude elliptical diamond onto a cantilever of machined boron, a material Grado uses for its low mass.

The body changes too, to American Osage, an orange-brown wood, in the same reshaped housing as the Platinum4 and Sonata4. It weighs 9.6 grams, and its output and electrical figures are the same as the rest of the Timbre series.

American Osage wood body. Nude elliptical diamond on a machined boron cantilever, 6N OCC copper coils, 9.6 grams.
What it is for

An arm that can balance 9.6 grams. High output (4.0 mV) is for a moving magnet phono input; low output (1.0 mV) is for a moving coil input set to 10k to 47k ohms. Tell us the phono stage if you're unsure.
