Why it is here

The G-cush pads hold the drivers further off your ears than any other Grado, and that one change does more to the sound than the wood does. It opens the presentation out, which is why people who find Grados too much in their face often land here. Those same pads are the reason to try before you buy. They rest on a wide ring around the ear and they either disappear within the hour or they annoy you all evening, with very little in between. That is what the thirty days are for, and an evening at home settles it in a way twenty minutes never will.
What it is for

Orchestral and large-scale music. Listeners who want space more than punch. Anyone who has bounced off a smaller Grado on comfort.
