Why it is here

Grado ranks the Gold4 highest of its Prestige series, though its spec sheet is the Green4's: moving iron, 4 mV, 6 grams all in, an elliptical diamond on aluminium. What you can see is the gold side plate and lettering, and a gold dot on the stylus.

No Grado above it comes in P-mount, and Grado lists no replaceable stylus for the wood-body Timbre and Lineage models above it. If either matters to you, stop here.

The Opus4 is where the bodies turn to wood: the same type of diamond and cantilever in maple, with a choice of high or low output.
How it is built

Moving iron, Grado's flux-bridger generator, in a molded body with a gold side plate. Elliptical diamond on an aluminium cantilever, 5N OCC copper coils, 6 grams.
What it is for

Any arm a Green4 or Red4 fits, into a moving magnet phono input: P-mount if the cartridge plugs straight in and takes one screw, standard mount if it bolts on with two.
