Why it is here

The Epoch4 is built on the Aeon4: the same Brazilian ebony body, the same nude Shibata diamond on a sapphire cantilever, the same 1.0 mV output and the same 10.5 grams.

The change is the coil wire, gold-plated OCC copper where the Aeon4's is 7N, and the coil reads 95 ohms against the Aeon4's 74. That, and a quoted frequency response that runs to 75 kHz instead of 70, is the published difference between them.

Like every Grado cartridge from the Green4 up, it's assembled in Brooklyn.

Brazilian ebony body. Nude Shibata diamond on a sapphire cantilever, gold-plated OCC copper coils, 10.5 grams.
What it is for

The same setup as the Aeon4: an arm that balances 10.5 grams and a moving coil phono stage set to 10k to 47k ohms.
