David Bowie: Hunky Dory

Bowie's fourth album, released by RCA in December 1971. He wrote it on piano rather than guitar and recorded it at Trident Studios in London with Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey, soon to be the Spiders from Mars. Rick Wakeman played piano shortly before joining Yes, and Ken Scott co-produced. It sold poorly until Ziggy Stardust, then reached number three in the UK.
