Billie Holiday: Lady in Satin
Billie Holiday's return to Columbia after sixteen years, recorded in three sessions in February 1958. She asked for Ray Ellis after hearing his version of "For All We Know", and he arranged and conducted the orchestra behind her. Irving Townsend produced it and Fred Plaut engineered it. Columbia asked for songs she had never recorded before. It was the second-to-last album she completed.
